Mama’s Stew is a solo swing dance.  Named after Louise “Mama Lou” Parks, a former hostess at the Savoy Ballroom, Harlem, whose dance troupe ‘Mama Lu & The Parkets’ performed the routine regularly.

 

Special guest teacher Emma Claydon will be running a workshop for the dance from 2pm-4pm Saturday March 21st.  The routine can be energetic so the moves will be taught to slightly faster tempos as the class progresses.

Early bird until March 7th:
